The water is collected into a big pool at the bottom which is great place to spend some time. Formed by Eravikulam Stream, it cascades down from a height of about 50 feet, and forms a small pond at the bottom that offers travelers an opportunity to enjoy its cold mineral-rich waters. Thoovanam Waterfalls

Thoovanam is one of the stunning waterfalls in Munnar located inside the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary. Situated on Munnar – Udamalpet Road, it is one of the popular Kerala waterfalls, and among the must-visit places in Marayoor as part of Munnar Tour. Formed by Pambar River, this cascading fall is a wonderful place to enjoy nature, dip & swim in the crystal-clear water that draws huge number of tourists during monsoon. The waterfall can be reached by a 4 km trek from Alampetty Checkpost, that usually takes around 2-3 hours. Also, this trek provides a great opportunity for animal sighting since it is located inside the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary.
