Winter Season :

Winter marks the onset of peak season in Jodhpur with pleasant weather. The temperature can go as low as 10°C in winters. Set in the stark landscape of the Thar Desert, Jodhpur is a popular tourist destination, featuring many palaces, forts and temples. Popularly known as Blue city and Sun city, there are several places to visit in Jodhpur that includes Mehrangarh Fort, Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jaswant Thada, Mandore, Kaylana Lake and Garden, Balsamand Lake, Sardar Samand Lake and Palace, Siddhnath Shiva Temple and Naini Bai ka Temple and Ghanta Ghar. Also, a camel safari in the Thar Desert is something one should not miss during winter. Besides, Jodhpur witnesses the popular Jodhpur RIFF, Marwar Festival and Desert Kite Festival during winter that attracts huge crowd and hotels are usually expensive during this season.


Summer Season :

Summer temperature in Coorg is usually around 40°C. Previously known as Marwar, Jodhpur is the second largest city in Rajasthan and is one of the popular tourist destination in Rajasthan. Since, the weather is too hot during summers, it is not an ideal time to visit Jodhpur. But still, tourists flocks to the city to spend few days of their summer vacation.Visiting the Giridikot and Sardar markets will be a delight for shopaholics where one can shop for leather jooties, leheriya saris and dye fabric. For sightseeing, Mehrangarh Fort with its numerous dazzling palaces such as Phool Mahal, Sheesh Mahal and Moti Mahal is a must-visit.


Monsoon Season :

Though, Jodhpur experiences monsoon along with the temperature drop, there is an increase in humidity level at this time. Though Jodhpur and surrounding places can still be visited during monsoon, heavy rains can block the roads to several tourist places. Monsoon is not an ideal time to visit Jodhpur, but if you would like to just relax and to watch the beautiful landscapes, it is still a good time.
