At a distance of 3 km from Kausani Bus Stand, the Kausani Tea Estate is idyllically situated on Bageshwar road in Kausani, Uttarakhand. Perched at an elevation of 1,800 m above sea level, Kausani Tea Estate is one of the top Kausani tourist places to visit.

The Kausani Tea Estate sprawls over an area of 208 hectares in almost 21 divisions and is an important tea industry of Kausani. The tea garden of Kausani is being developed as a tea-base for the entire state of Uttarakhand. Kausani is the only place away from the traditional tea plantation areas in India that produce organic orthodox tea.

The Kausani Tea Estate is acclaimed for its tea plantation including private, government and local farmers. Among the different varieties of tea it produces, Girias Uttaranchal tea is accepted as its topmost flavor. Kausani exports its high-flavoured tea to many countries, including Australia, Germany, Korea and the United States. In order to maintain its upper hand in the tea producing industry of Uttarakhand, Kausani estate makes use of modern and urbanized techniques of tea processing. Besides the machinery, the estate makes use of skilled workers to hand pluck the leaves. As a result, quality of the finally packaged tea is highly appreciated in the international markets.

This is the place where one will feel very close to nature and it is a paradise for tea lovers. The place also arranges free short tour to show their manufacturing process guided by their own staff. One can taste and buy different flavored tea from there. Apart from the tea, it is an amazing location where one can stroll leisurely. This place is remains closed from November to March.
