Somnathpur

Somnathpur is well known for the breathtaking Prasanna Chennakeshava Temple, one of the three famous & finest representations of Hoysala architecture (the other two being temples at Belur & Halebid). This is one of the wonderful heritage sites near Bangalore and Mysore. Located on the banks of the Cauvery River, this temple was built in 1268 by Somnatha, a general of Hoysala King Narasimha III. Talakadu

Situated on the banks of Kaveri River, Talakadu is a beautiful place surrounded by temples.
