At a distance of 3 Kms from Palakkad Railway Station, Manappullikavu Devi Temple is a powerful and ancient temple located in Durga Nagar, Palakkad city. The temple is very close to NH47.

Dedicated to Goddess Shakthi, this temple is 1200 year old with rich history. The temple is different from other Bhagavati temples by way of rites and rituals. Namboodiries, the Kerala Brahmins, carry out the every day rituals according to tantric traditions. Both Saiva and Vaishnava traditions of worship are observed in the rituals. Though the temple has a swayambu idol (self created), the main idol was installed at a much later date.

The temple celebrates its main festival - The Manappullikavu Vela Festival in the month of March.
