At a distance of 34 Kms from Coimbatore Railway Station, Velliyangiri is famous for a beautiful historical temple dedicated to Lord Siva. Velliyangiri is one of the five hills which represent the five different faces of Lord Shiva.

At an altitude of about 6000 feet, it is located on the way to Siruvani. Velliyangiri is the only temple where Pancha Linga can be seen. Mahasivaratri is celebrated in a grand manner at this place.

There are frequent buses to Siruvani from Coimbatore (via Poondi junction). One can get down at Poondi-Siruvani Junction (28 Kms) and catch a private/public vehcile to Velliyangiri foothill (3 Kms). About 3 Kms trek from here through dense forest will take you to the holy shrine.
