At a distance of 5 km from Lonavala Railway Station, and 9 km from Karla Caves, Valvan Dam is a gravity dam on Indrayani River at Velvan village near Lonavala in Pune district of Maharashtra. It is one of the places of sightseeing in Lonavala.

The height of the dam is 26.36 m while the length is 1,356 m. The volume content is 182,000 m3 and gross storage capacity is 72,500,000.00 m3. The dam supplies water to the Khopoli power station run by Tata Power at the foothills of the Sahyadri Mountains for generating electricity. The water of the dam forms a beautiful artificial reservoir, which is named as Valvan Lake after it. A lush green garden is situated next to this lake. Surrounded with a scenic landscape, Valvan Dam is a popular evening place for locals.
