Chinaman's Waterfall - History, Timings & Entry Fee

At a distance of 2.5 km from Mahabaleshwar Bus Stand, the captivating Chinaman's Waterfall lies towards the south of the Koyna Valley in Mahabaleshwar. It is one of best waterfalls in Maharashtra and among prime place to visit on a Mahabaleshwar Trip.

The waterfall cascades down from a height of 500 feet in to a deep valley. The waterfall flows from two different points and merges in to a single stream. Positioned at the top of the Venna Valley, the calm surroundings and the exotic waterfalls render a perfect holiday spot.

The falls can be witnessed from Babbington point and one can also reach the top of the falls from Valley View Resort (around 2 km). Visit to Mahabaleshwar is not complete without a view of astounding cascade of Chinaman's Waterfall. In the past the gardens close to the falls were looked after by the Chinese. Thus the waterfall got its name as Chinaman's Waterfall. Best time to visit waterfall is during monsoon season.
