There are different rules for people from different countries to get a valid visa to enter United Arab Emirates (UAE). Dubai Visa Types

1. 14 Day Dubai Visa

As the name implies, this is a short term single entry visa which permits an individual to stay in Dubai for a period of 14 days from the date of arrival. It is ideal for Indian tourists who wish to explore the city in a limited time as part of Dubai Packages. The visa is valid for a period of two months. Tourists can stay in Dubai for 14 days from the date of arrival. This visa is non- extendable and cannot be converted into any other visa. Persons can travel to the country anytime within this period.

2. 30 Days Tourist Visa

Indian Nationals travelling to Dubai for tourist purpose do need to apply for Tourist Visa. This single entry visa is valid for 58 days from the date of issue and the duration of stay is limited to 30 days from the date of entry. It enables the visa holder to travel to other cities in UAE as well. The duration of this visa can be extended by a maximum of 10 days, subject to certain conditions and not everyone might be entitled to it. Indians looking to travel to Dubai can get a visa only if they have a local sponsor. It could either be a friend/relative, travel agent, or hotel. This visa cannot be converted into any other visa.

3. 30 Days Multiple Entry Tourist Visa

The validity of the visa is 58 days from the date of issue and the person can enter UAE multiple times and stay there for 30 Days from the first entry in UAE. This visa will make travel between UAE and visiting nearby countries easier for travelers who need to make multiple stops for short time and return to Dubai on the same visa as part of their Dubai Trip. This short term multiple entry visa is non-extendable and can’t be cancelled once utilized and the applicant would have to await expiry of the visa validity.

4. 90 Days Visit Visa

This is a single entry visa which is preferred by travelers going to UAE for tourism, visit family / friends or for business trainings etc. It enables an individual to stay in the country for a maximum of 90 days and is valid for 2 months or 60 days from the date of issue. Indian Applicants travelling for tourism purpose need to provide a covering letter mentioning the reason of travel, stay & host details and self-guarantee of exiting Dubai within the visa validity period. It is possible to convert this into an Employment Visa, subject to certain conditions.

5. 90 Days Multiple Entry Tourist Visa

The validity of the visa is 58 days from the date of issue and the client can enter UAE multiple times and stay there for 90 Days from the first entry in Dubai / UAE. This visa will make travel between UAE and visiting nearby countries easier for travelers who need to make multiple stops and return to Dubai on the same visa as part of Dubai Tour. This long term multiple entry visa is non-extendable and can’t be cancelled once utilized and the applicant would have to await expiry of the visa validity.

6. Visa on Arrival

Indian passport holders with a valid American visa or a Green Card will be eligible to get UAE Visa on Arrival at all ports. Launched in May 2017, this visa is valid for 14 days in the UAE. This should surely help load up those planes for a quick weekend jaunt to Dubai. One can simply purchase the visa at immigration hall after landing in Dubai. It costs about INR 2000 per person that can be paid in cash or credit card. However, the Visa on Arrival can be extended once by paying extra INR 5000 for another 14 days without having to leave the country.

Required Documents for Dubai Visa

Indians who want to apply for UAE visa can qualify from any one of the following categories. Documents required while applying for a visa differ, depending on the sort of visa you are choosing.

Category I: Travel Record

This applies to the applicants who have travelled at least once in the last 5 years or holds a valid visa for the countries like USA, UK, Schengen countries, European Union, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Canada, Switzerland and Japan or to anyone, who have evidence of travel records in the last five years to the UAE.

Here is the list of documents required in case of applicant qualifying under Travel Record criteria.

  • Original Passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of departure along with coloured scanned copies of the first page, observation page and last two last pages of the passport
  • Duly filled and signed Visa application form along with applicants coloured photograph
  • Original and photocopy of your Return or Onward ticket & Accommodation
  • No Objection Certificate for female applicants and students who are above 18 years and travelling alone from their parents/husband, with their Photo ID
  • Applicable visa fees in CASH/DD/CREDIT CARD
  • Proof of Residence (only be applicable if the clients present Nationality and present Country of Permanent Residency is not the same)

Category II: Financial Records

Applicants, who are not qualifying as per Criteria I (Travel Record), can apply for a Dubai Visa under this category. Applicants are required to submit their last 2 Years Form 16 or last 2 Years Income Tax returns with a minimum gross income from business, profession or employment, which should exceed INR 2 lakhs per annum. Or else, one can also submit the proof of investments amounting to INR 5 lakhs or above in the form of Fixed Deposits in banks or Post Office but investments should be a year prior from the date of application with a validity of more than 12 months. Investments in Co-operative Banks or Societies are not acceptable.

Supporting documents required to apply Dubai Visa under Financial Records criteria

  • Original and Photocopy of Income Tax returns, Salary slips of the last 6 months, Photo copy of Pan Card or Original & Photocopy of Fixed Deposit Receipts
  • Original Passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of departure along with coloured scanned copies of the first, observation page and last two last pages of the passport
  • Duly filled and signed Visa application form along with applicants coloured photograph
  • Original and photocopy of your Return or Onward ticket & Accommodation
  • No Objection Certificate for female applicants and students who are above 18 years and travelling alone from their parents/husband, with their Photo ID
  • Applicable visa fees in CASH/DD/CREDIT CARD
  • Proof of Residence (only be applicable if the clients present Nationality and present Country of Permanent Residency is not the same)

Category III: Invitation from immediate family member residing in UAE

Indians who are applying for Dubai Visa on the basis of an invitation from the family member residing in UAE are eligible for this category. Spouse, children below 21 years of age and parents above 60 years of age can be invited under this category.

List of documents required for this category are

  • Invitation letter, Passport copy and valid residence visa copy of the host in UAE
  • Original Passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of departure along with coloured scanned copies of the first, observation page and last two last pages of the passport
  • Duly filled and signed Visa application form along with applicants coloured photograph
  • Original and photocopy of your Return or Onward ticket & Accommodation
  • No Objection Certificate for female applicants and students who are above 18 years and travelling alone from their parents/husband, with their Photo ID
  • Applicable visa fees in CASH/DD/CREDIT CARD
  • Proof of Residence (only be applicable if the clients present Nationality and present Country of Permanent Residency is not the same)

Category IV: Newly Married Couple

In case you’re applying for a UAE visa for Indians, as a newly-married couple or the spouse name is not endorsed o the passport can apply under this category.

Here is the list of required documents to apply for Dubai Visa under this category

  • Marriage Certificate / Notarised Affidavit on an INR 100 stamp paper
  • Newly married couples traveling immediately after marriage are required to submit NOC from parents with photo id proof, Wedding card and Marriage photograph of the couple
  • Original Passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of departure along with coloured scanned copies of the first, observation page and last two last pages of the passport
  • Duly filled and signed Visa application form along with applicants coloured photograph
  • Original and photocopy of your Return or Onward ticket & Accommodation
  • Applicable visa fees in CASH/DD/CREDIT CARD
