At a distance of 11 km from Kalasa, 18 km from Horanadu, 51 km from Kottigehara, and 96 km from Chikmagalur, Elaneeru Falls is a mesmerizing waterfall situated at Elaneeru or Yelaneeru village near Kalasa in the Chikkamagaluru district of Karnataka. It is one of the lesser-known waterfalls in Karnataka and among the best Chikmagalur tourist places.

Elaneeru Waterfall is a seasonal waterfall formed by an unknown stream. The waterfall is located just beside the road inside the Kudremukh National Park. Surrounded by dense forest, the water here is extremely refreshing, falling from a great height and cascading at various levels. This is a perfect retreat from the busy city life as it is one of the least explored waterfalls in Chikmagalur. There are no places to swim or take a dip in the water.

To reach the Elaneeru Falls, one has to take the deviation at Samse while driving on the Kalasa-Kudremukh road and you will land at the Elaneeru village. From the village, there is a mud road to reach the falls. However, it is difficult to drive during the monsoon. So, it is better to park your vehicle in the village and undertake the 3-4 km trek on the mud road.
