At a distance of 8 km from Soochipara Waterfall, 27 km from Kalpetta, and 47 km from Sulthan Bathery, Attamala Viewpoint is a scenic viewpoint located near Chooralmala in the Wayanad district of Kerala. It is one of the hidden places to visit during your Wayanad tour.

Located at the border of Wayanad and Malappuram districts, Attamala is a boon for those who love to enjoy spectacular sunset views. Surrounded by lush tea plantations, the viewpoint is located at an altitude of 858 m. This spot is just adjacent to Valathuri and Thenapuram. The location can be delineated as other level of pristine lush green beauty with mist which cools our mind. Visitors have to trek through the plantations to get a mind blowing view of the hilltops.

With the fog and cold climate, Attamala Viewpoint is a must-see for those who come to see the milky white Soochipara Waterfalls. From Attamala, one can clearly witness the distant hills and verdant tea plantations. The sunrise at Attamala gives you an unforgettable experience that makes you visit this place early in the morning. One can also spot wild animals on your way to this place. There is also a glass bridge near the viewpoint. Relatively less crowded but still quite crowded on a long weekend.

The place is a nice offers a nice trekking experience for visitors. If you are driving, it is a bit steep and narrow way uphill till parking. From parking, visitors need to walk or take their 4x4 Jeep ride to reach the actual glass bridge, and the viewpoint as private vehicles are not allowed.
