1. India’s Longest Hanging Glass Bridge

2. Built Under Public-Private Partnership

The project has been undertaken by SSM Shipping & Logistics of Visakhapatnam through a public-private partnership (PPP), with technical assistance provided by Bharat Mata Ventures of Kerala, renowned for constructing the well-known Vagamon Glass Bridge, which is a highlight in Vagamon tour packages. The Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) represents the State government as a stakeholder in this project.

Constructed entirely from imported German glass and steel, the sky-walk bridge stands at a height of 862 feet above ground level and 1,000 feet above sea level. 4. Strong and Safe Construction

Ensuring safety is the foremost concern for this project. The ₹7-crore bridge is constructed using three layers of 40-mm thick tempered laminated glass sourced from Germany, reinforced by 40 tonnes of steel. It is engineered to support a load of 500 kg per square meter, which enables it to accommodate over 100 individuals. Nevertheless, for safety considerations, only 40 visitors will be permitted at any given time for a duration of approximately 5-10 minutes.

5. Built to Withstand Extreme Weather

The bridge is capable of enduring wind speeds reaching 250 km/h, as it was constructed with considerations based on the experiences from the extremely severe cyclonic storm Hudhud. This guarantees the safety of visitors even in challenging weather conditions.
