At a distance of 3 Kms from Kollam Railway Station, Rameshwaram Temple is one of the oldest temples in this region. Dedicated to Lord Siva, this temple is one among the four Lord Siva temples built by the Legend Natukotta Chettiar.
Built in 12th century, this temple shows Pandyan influence and has several inscriptions in Tamil writted between 12th & 16th centuries. The temple has very interesting & attractive sculpture work.
The anuual temple festival is celebrated in Jan/Feb every year.
