Chettalli - History, Timings & Entry Fee

At a distance of 12 km from Siddapura and 15 km from Madikeri, Chettalli is a small village located on Madikeri - Siddapura Road in Karnataka, India. It is one of the popular Coorg Tourist Places to visit as part of Karnataka Packages.

Situated at an altitude of 609 m, Chettalli attracts many visitors because of the undulating nature of the hills. The place hangs in a sap sweet aroma of the coffee estates which are widespread in the endless stretches of this village. With the misty hills being perfectly complemented by the unending greenery it provides a great place to enjoy the serenity and relax.

The Chettalli waterfall is the must-visit attraction at Chettalli. One has to cross two streams and walk a couple of kilometers through the rich shola forests and thick coffee plantation to reach the falls. Another interesting fact about Chettalli is that it is home to the Indian Institute of Horticultural Research and is one of a kind the entire country. The Cherala Bhagavathy temple here also attracts tourists and devotees.
