At a distance of 8 km from Solang Valley and 20 km from Manali, Patalsu Peak is an astounding peak located within the proximity of the picturesque Kullu Valley in Himachal Pradesh. It is an ideal trekking destination in Manali.

Perched at a height of 4200m (13,800 ft), the Patalsu Peak boasts of its scenic beauty and enchanting appeal. It is one of the most amazing trekking destinations in the region. With moderate to challenging gradients, the trek entices a large number of trekking enthusiasts from across the country. Though the trek pushes you through some steep inclines, narrow ridges, and moraines, the summit offers unmatched views of the entire Kullu valley, Hanuman Tibba, Friendship Peak, Manali Peak, and mountains of Dhauladhar Ranges.

Though moderately challenging, the Patalsu Peak trek is ideal for beginners. The trek starts from the very famous Solang valley, and the trails pass through quaint little hamlets, alpine meadows, and beautiful dense forests of oak and pine. It is a total of 16 km trek (both ways) and will be completed in 2-3 days. From the valley, one will trek to Shagadugh, which is about 3 km from Solang Valley and is the first destination of the trek. Then the trail leads to base camp (2 km). After 3 km long and grueling climb from the camp, one can reach the Patalsu Peak where you will find snow even in the months of summer. During the trek, you get a chance to visit Solang, the old Himalayan village, and waterfall which makes this trek awesome.

May to June and September to mid-October are ideal for the trek as the snow level is not too high, and trails are comparatively clearer.
