At a distance of 4.5 Kms from Bangalore City Railway Station, the Aquarium situated at the entrance of Cubbon Park is the second largest aquarium in the country. Opened in 1983, the aquarium is housed in an octagonal-shaped building.

The aquarium exhibits a large varsity of aquatic life, exhibiting the largest number of indigenous and exotic, cultivable as well as ornamental pet fish. It is maintained by the State Government's Department of Fisheries. The three floors have a variety of edible and ornamental fish on display. The ground floor houses the office and laboratory. There is also a little outlet for fish feed. The first floor has 14 big tanks where the larger cultivable varieties of fish are displayed. The second floor has two rows of tanks, the upper row has 23 medium sized tanks while the lower row consists of 46 small tanks.

Timings: 10 AM to 5 PM. Closed on all Mondays, second Tuesday and public holidays.
