Muregar Falls is also called 'Teppige falls' or Daggumane Falls. This waterfall is formed by a small stream known as 'Muregar Halla', the tributary of the Shalmala River. The waterfall is only about 30 feet in height but as far as its width is about 120 feet. During the monsoon, it presents a fearsome sight with rapids and powerful spray mist all around. As the rains recede, the fearsome look changes into a friendly soothing sight.

The waterfall is located on the Sirsi-Hulekal road. Once you reach Saalkani Cross (Kengre hole) which is 10 km away from Sirsi, take a diversion towards Saalkani and you reach Muregar cross. Take the right deviation and after 1.5 km you find the Duggumane bus stop. Then go on Muregar road up to 4 km, you will reach Muregar Falls. It is better to walk the last one kilometer or so from Shirlebail as the walk in the woods is pleasant. If you are going to visit 'Shivaganga Falls' then do visit this waterfall, as it is very near to the road to Shivaganga Falls.
