At a distance of 15 Kms from Nampally Railway Station, Durgam Cheruvu is a beautiful garden developed around the Secret Lake. With the backdrop of posh IT corridor of Hitech City, Durgam Cheruvu Lake is a nice place to spend some time and also one of the top Hyderabad tourist places.

Covering a land area of 63 acres, this lake is encircled by the Deccan Plateau hilly ranges. It was a drinking water source to the Golconda Fort. The shields of granite rocks around here are said to be only one of its kind in entire Asia that date back to more than 2,500 million years. Cafeteria and refreshment center are also located on the other side of the lake.

Boating is also available here. This park has main entrance at Jubilee Hills side where the main park is located (beside Ambetkar Open University). It has another entrance at the edge of Hitech City, which is now less active.

The park used to be a beautiful place earlier. However, due to illegal activities in the bushes of the park, the main park was mostly removed and currently only boating is popular activity here.
