At a distance of 27 kms from Nampally Railway Station, The Shamirpet Lake is a fine-looking lake in the outskirts of Hyderabad.
This artificial lake mainly depends on the rainfall. This lake also has a dam like contraption near which is located the temple of Katta Maisamma. Next to this temple are a pond which serves as a resting ground for migratory birds and a garden.
Boating facility is available in this lake along with cottages provided by AP Tourism. There is also a deer park located adjacent to the lake.
Timings: 9 AM and 5 PM.
