At a distance of 16 Kms from Nampally Railway Station, Botanical Garden is the first botanical garden in Telangana and it is located in Kothaguda Reserve Forest near Madhapur (HiTec City Area). The Botanical Garden is aimed at providing the facility of a Modern Botanical Garden to conserve and develop the germ plasm and to educate the people.
The Botanical Garden encompasses about 3,000 species of flora and covers an area of 125 acres. Bamboo, palm, medicinal plants, timber, desert, flowering and fruit bearing trees, ornamental and sacred plants are found here. Fountains, rock pool, nursery and water bodies enhance the beauty of the garden. Boating is also available in the lake.
