At a distance of 12 km from Panjim Kadamba Bus Stand, 39 km from Vasco Da Gama Railway Station and 14 km from Mapusa, Sinquerim Beach is known as the first tourist beach of North Goa.

The Sinquerim Beach is a beautiful beach that has a spectacular stretch of sand. It is located at the south of the famous beaches like Baga, Calangute and Candolim. It is an ideal place for swimming and one should not miss visiting this beach when on their travel to Goa for beach holidays.

The Sinquerim Beach is a semi circle shaped beach lies adjacent to the Aguada Beach. The lovely beach of Sinquerim is one of the oldest preserved beaches in Goa. The famous fort Aguada is located near the beach. Fort Aguada was built by the Portuguese in the early 17th century to defend them against any foreign attack and to control the entry of the intruders through River Mandovi.

This beach gets very crowded with tourists and vendors. It is not really a place for relaxing but is the best place for water sports like Jet-skiing, boating, parasailing, fishing, scuba diving and windsurfing. Boating excursions like dolphin trips and crocodile Dundee, snorkeling trips are arranged here.

It is a very popular tourist attraction and the massive Sunburn Music Festival happens here. Held between the 27th to the 29th of December every year, Sunburn is the largest music festival in Asia and among the top 10 on earth.

One can find a large number of tourist resorts and hotels that provide good accommodation facilities at the Sinquerim Beach. There are also a number of good restaurants situated nearby that serve some tasty dishes and drinks.
