At a distance of 27 km from Panjim Kadamba Bus Stand, 17 km from Vasco Da Gama Railway Station and 18 km from Margao Railway Station, St. Lawrence Church is situated in Cansaulim of South Goa.

The Church of St Lawrence was constructed and founded in the year 1598 by Father Gonsalo Carvalho S.J. who was the second vicar at the St. Thomas Church, Cansaulim. The Chapel of Three Kings was also founded during the same period on the Cuelim hill.

The Chapel was built in Portuguese architectural style and it is a remarkable sight. Though the chapel has suffered damage and destruction due to vandalism and neglect, it was repeatedly restored to its old glory. The chapel was renovated in 1783 and was expanded to accommodate more space in 1863 as well as in 2001. St. Stephen chapel at Pale village in Velsao is also considered to have been constructed along with this chapel.
Feast of St. Lawrence is held on 10 August, all over Goa. The traditional blessing of the rice paddy sheaves on the feast day of the patron saint is done at the Chapel compound. This is a Christianized version of the Hindu ritual of earlier times.

Timings: 9:30 AM - 6 PM on all days.
